Program Manager – ReSet Program (*New)

The Career Foundation’s Readiness for Successful Employment Transition (ReSet) program is designed to help income-support recipients prepare for and successfully transition into employment. This program consists of two phases. Phase one focuses on helping individuals recognize the barriers that prevent them from pursuing meaningful careers. Through employment readiness and life skills training and coaching, clients develop a new outlook and a strong interest in pursuing employment. As a result of phase one, clients successfully transition into phase two, the Integrated Employment Service. Phase two provides alumni support and coaching to ensure clients are equipped and motivated to strengthen their attachment to the labour market.

The Program Manager is an essential part of the team, responsible for overseeing operations and service delivery, ensuring that each site of The Career Foundation delivering the ReSet program meets or exceeds its targets. The Program Manager provides hands-on operational support and budget oversight, including coaching and performance management of team members, developing community and employer relationships, and supporting client outcomes to ensure the program’s success.

Outreach Worker/Facilitator – Youth Thrive program (*New)

The Career Foundation’s Youth Thrive program operates both regionally and nationally, offering youth a variety of activities such as professional skills workshops, a virtual retreat, and volunteer placements. These opportunities help youth participants gain valuable skills and experiences, engage in important community projects, and promote civic engagement and social inclusion. Our national Youth Thrive program is available to youth aged 16 to 29 living in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, or Nova Scotia, while our regional Youth Thrive program serves eligible youth living in Ontario. Both programs particularly focus on youth who identify as Indigenous or are underserved from equity-deserving groups.

As an Outreach Worker/Facilitator with our regional or national Youth Thrive programs, you would be an important member of the project team. Your responsibilities would include promoting civic engagement and volunteerism among youth and engaging them in the program. You would also work directly with Indigenous and underserved youth participants by providing life and volunteer readiness workshops, as well as individual and group-based coaching to help them understand the expectations and requirements of non-profit workplaces, preparing them for success in their volunteer placements. Financial Support Specialist (*New)

This opportunity is based in The Career Foundation’s Finance department to provide accounting-based support to our A Women’s Work (AWW) program, operated in partnership with A Women’s Work Support Centre. The AWW program aims to address the pressing labour shortage in Ontario’s trades industry while empowering women to excel in the construction industry. Eligible female participants of the program receive foundational training and a paid job placement in addition to gender-focused training, mentorship, industry guidance, and other services to help them find and retain work in the construction industry.

As the Financial Support Specialist, you would be an important member of The Career Foundation’s Finance department, working to support our AWW program by managing the program’s budgets and performing other financial duties related to the program, such as handling financial claims and processing participant wraparound supports. Our Employment Centres also offer a range of services to employers, including recruitment support, candidate screening, job matching, hiring fairs, workplace orientation, retention advice, and other services.   

As the Community Outreach Worker, you would be an essential team member responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining community partnerships within all communities served by our full-suite Employment Centres, as well as outreaching to recruit new, eligible participants into our programming. Your role would also support our job seeker clients in accessing employment services and wraparound support within the communities that we serve to help them achieve their employment goals.
