The Arborist Pre-Apprenticeship Program has opened our trade to a whole new group of people who may never have considered arboriculture as a profession before. These people are passionate, driven and want to succeed in this rewarding trade. The program has produced some of the most skilled and knowledgeable new hires I’ve had in years. I will continue to support and hire from this program for as long as it runs.
We have had great success with hiring pre-apprentice students through The Career Foundation. Their skills and knowledge base is excellent, but their drive, attitude, and enthusiasm seems to exceed that of other apprentices in our field. With the shortage of skilled workers in the tree care industry, I am optimistic this program is providing us with skilled, qualified individuals that are more than capable of becoming excellent arborists a short time after the completion of the their apprenticeship program. I would strongly encourage owners and managers to seek out these pre-apprentice program participants as potential employees, both to support labour growth in our industry and help motivate your company to the next level.
I started dealing with The Career Foundation (Courtney McCann) about 5 years ago. This lady knows her stuff. She made every effort to help and assist me in anyway possible over the years. I work within the arboriculture industry and Courtney helped me hire young staff out of the program offered through Humber College. I recommend this company and staff for any hiring requirements you might have.
